Is there a powered cover that’s also lightweight?

I’ve got a Tacoma and want a retractable powered cover, but I’m trying to avoid adding too much weight to the rear. Most electric models I’ve seen are all-metal and pretty heavy. Is there anything solid but lighter that still works well in everyday driving?

I had the same concerns and landed on the PowerTraxONE MX for my truck. It’s powered like the premium units, but made from durable polycarbonate instead of aluminum, so it cuts down the weight significantly. The retraction system is motorized and runs smoothly with the included remote. Even though it’s lighter, the structure is solid — I’ve had no issues with flex or rattling. It locks at any point and stays dry in all weather. Here’s the direct link I used when comparing models: https://retrax.us.com/powertraxone-mx-tonneau-cover.html — definitely worth considering if you're trying to avoid excess rear load. I also like that the matte black finish doesn’t show dirt or wear easily. Great balance of strength, weather resistance, and weight.
