Meet Some of Our Founding Lifesavers 🩵
These incredible humans helped build this rescue from the ground up. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Anna
Anna is 'the Anna' behind Anna’s Angels. With over 20 years in animal welfare, she’s been rescuing, fostering, and fighting for dogs long before the rescue was official. She is the co-founder of Anna’s Angels Dog Rescue. She’s helped shape every part of what we do. She's worked alongside shelters, vets, and rescue partners to save countless lives from euthanasia. She enjoys being part of the rescue team of volunteers and watching her foster dogs flourish in loving homes. Her heart is in every piece of this rescue.

Cameron
Cameron is the co-founder of Anna’s Angels and truly the heart and soul of so much of what we do. From a young age, she’s been deeply involved in rescue, and her passion runs deep. She’s what we lovingly call our matchmaker, she just gets dogs and has an incredible talent for finding them the perfect homes. Cameron works tirelessly behind the scenes (and in the middle of the night!) to support the team, advocate for our dogs, pushes the rescue to be better every day and does whatever it takes to make sure dogs get what they need. This rescue simply wouldn’t run without her. Her heart, grit, and drive keep everything moving forward.

Angelia
Angelia brings decades of experience in animal rescue, both locally and internationally, and her knowledge is truly irreplaceable. She’s especially passionate about helping dogs with complex medical needs, often stepping up for the ones who require extra time, care, and attention. She gives so much of herself, her time, energy, and heart to the dogs and to this rescue. She’s also a trusted support for our volunteers and fosters, always ready with resources and advice. Her dedication is unmatched, and she’s the kind of person every rescue dreams of having on their team.

Francene
Francene a co-founder of Anna’s Angels. She brings years of rescue experience, a heart of gold, and a deep dedication to the dogs in her care. She has a special soft spot for the littles, the small dogs that might need just a little extra love and patience. Whether fostering, helping behind the scenes, or personally driving thousands of miles to deliver dogs to their forever homes in Canada. Her commitment to each dog’s journey is something we’re endlessly grateful for. We would not be where we are today without her dedication and heart.

Even for those who’ve only met her once (or not yet in person), she’s become a true friend and a steady source of light. The impact Jessica brings to this rescue is nothing short of extraordinary.

Andrea
Andrea is one of those truly incredible humans who just gets it. On top of her volunteer role, her and her family are constantly opening their home, and car, to dogs in need. If there’s space, she fills it with love (and usually a few fosters!). Kindhearted, dedicated, and endlessly generous with her time, Andrea is a huge support to our fosters and our team. She never hesitates to go above and beyond when the dogs need her most. From emergency late-night pickups to comforting scared new arrivals, she jumps in without a second thought.

Paula
Some people just have a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and supported. Paula is one of those people! With a kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering compassion, she approaches every conversation with genuine care and always helps in any way she can. Whether she’s helping guide a family toward their perfect dog, cheering on a foster, or helping at transport as dogs meet their forever families for the very first time, Paula brings heart into every interaction. She pours countless hours into this work. Her dedication, empathy, and support have touched every corner of our team and community. Paula is not just a teammate, she’s a bright light, uplifting all those she interacts with!

Sara
Sara has been a part of the rescue for years, from adopter to foster to volunteer. She helps behind the scenes to keep things moving. With a soft spot for dogs who need a little extra support, she has welcomed behavioural cases into her home and loves to watch them grow. She’s helped refine many of the resources we now rely on and believes every dog, and every person who helps them, deserves the best support we can give.

Jessica
Jessica is a rockstar. When something needs doing, Jessica doesn’t wait, she’s already halfway through getting it done. She’s the kind of person who steps up without hesitation and gives every task everything she’s got. Whether it’s driving hundreds of kilometers to pick up dogs in need, staying up into the early morning hours prepping for transport, or helping dogs meet their new families, Jessica shows up with everything she has to give. Her willingness to go above and beyond for the dogs in our care is nothing short of inspiring. Any team would be lucky to have her, and we’re so grateful that she’s part of ours.

Becca
Hi, I'm Becca! I'm an xray tech at the hospital in Saint John, NB.
We adopted our shepherd, Ava, in 2021 so we were already familiar with Anna's Angels when I decided to try fostering.
I got the idea to foster after dealing with cancer for a few years and looking for a distraction. I was home all the time so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to stick my toes in!
We fostered our first, Cara, in the spring of 2023. Already having 3 dogs of our own, this was a challenge but we learned a lot about dog behaviors and the ways they communicate.
Shortly after, I was given a clean bill of health and returned to work full-time. Though I would love to foster more, our schedules just don't allow it right now so I've switched gears to social media and promotion of dogs in need of a home - including my own startup Facebook group: Dogs for Adoption New Brunswick! Check for Anna's Angels pups on there :)

In addition to hands-on help, Landon and Kaitlin have taken initiative in fundraising by collecting recycling bottles and cans to raise money for the rescue. Their creativity and commitment are an inspiration to us all.
Landon and Kaitlin’s favourite part of volunteering is when the dogs go off to their foster families or forever families and knowing they played a part in their happy!

Denise
Denise first joined our rescue family as a volunteer after the heartbreaking loss of her beloved dog. Through that experience, she discovered just how much goes on behind the scenes in rescue work and how every effort can make a life-changing difference for a dog in need. She has dedicated countless hours of her time to supporting the rescue, lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed! The impact on keeping the organization running is immeasurable, as every hour and every effort from volunteers like Denise makes it possible for more dogs to be rescued, cared for, and loved.
Her journey quickly grew from volunteering to fostering, where she experienced the incredible difference that love and patience can make in a dog’s life. While balancing a busy work schedule can make fostering a challenge, Denise continues to open her heart and home when she can, knowing that even helping one dog at a time makes a world of difference.
We’re grateful for Denise’s compassion, dedication, and the kindness she brings to both our team and the animals she helps along the way.

Jenn
Jenn is a talented designer and artist whose creativity brings Anna’s Angels to life. Inspired by her aunt Paula’s long-time dedication, she jumped in with both hands, spending countless hours on design, merchandise, and social media projects. Her work doesn’t just look amazing, it helps tell the stories of our dogs and plays an integral part in getting them into loving homes!! Thoughtful, reliable, and endlessly committed, Jenn is an essential part of the team, using her time and talent to make a difference for every dog the rescue helps. Her dedication ensures that more dogs find the homes they deserve and that the rescue can continue growing and reaching even more animals in need.

Jess
Jess and her husband share a lively home with six kids and three cats, but no matter how busy life gets, she always finds time to give back. Having lived in an area where dogs are often dumped, Jess has witnessed the heartbreak and desperation that so many animals face. Those experiences left a lasting impact on her and inspired her to be part of the change.
Even though she isn’t currently able to have dogs of her own, Jess was thrilled to discover that she could still play a meaningful role in saving lives. From that moment, she’s been all in, offering her time, energy, and heart wherever she can. Her empathy, reliability, and drive to help, even with so much on her plate, are a true reflection of her heart and the difference one person can make.
Jess brings light, warmth, and purpose to everything she does, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our lifesaving team!
