At Anna's Angels Dog Rescue, we believe that every dog deserves a chance, no matter their medical condition.
We don’t shy away from animals with special needs or health challenges, including those who are blind, deaf, malnourished, amputees, or dealing with conditions like heartworm, Parvo, worms, bottle babies, puppies, expecting mothers and even dogs needing extensive medical care.​
While we don’t have a vet on-site, we work with trusted veterinarians in Southeast Texas to ensure every dog receives the proper medical attention, treatment, and rehabilitation they need to thrive.
Our commitment to providing the best care possible is unwavering.
No matter the challenge, we’re here to give every dog the care, compassion, and second chance they deserve.
Heartworm
Heartworm is a serious but treatable disease transmitted through the bite of a heartworm infected mosquito. Despite the availability of effective preventative treatments, many pets remain unprotected, putting them at risk for severe health complications!

Heartworm infections are reported in many areas which underscores the importance of consistent testing and year-round prevention. When left untreated, heartworm can be deadly—not only to the infected dog but to other animals, as mosquitoes can transmit the infection from one animal to another.​

Heartworm awareness and education is essential to keep all pets healthy and safe!

Michonne
Michonne’s journey began in the darkest of circumstances. A man, struck her directly on the head with a machete, leaving her with a life-threatening wound. Miraculously, Michonne survived, but her road to recovery was long and painful. After weeks of medical treatment, tender care, and immense strength, Michonne pulled through, showing the world just how resilient she truly is. Today, she’s in her forever home with a loving family in Canada, living her best life, full of love and joy. Michonne's story is a testament to the healing power of kindness and the incredible capacity of animals to forgive and thrive.
Lottie
At just 10 months old, Lottie was abandoned on the streets with a painful, swollen eye that was at risk of rupturing. Thankfully, a kind stranger found her and reached out for help. Lottie received immediate medical care to stop the pain and prevent further damage. Unfortunately, Lottie needed her eye removed and after a successful eye removal surgery and long road to recovery,
Lottie’s sweet and resilient spirit shone through! She has since been adopted and is spending her days loved in there forever home. She truly is one of a kind.​
Hattie Joe
Hattie’s story began in the most heartbreaking way. Left to fend for herself while very pregnant, she faced uncertainty and fear. But her strength shone through when she was rescued just in time. Shortly after entering Rescue, Hattie gave birth to eight beautiful puppies, all safe and healthy thanks to the care she received. Today, Hattie and all of her puppies are thriving in their forever homes, living the happy lives they always deserved. Hattie's journey, along with her pups, is a powerful reminder of the healing and hope that come with a fresh start.​
